LCD and CRT Monitor Recycling
Scott
Recycling provide peace of mind and compliance with monitor recycling
and monitor disposal that does not contribute to the hazards of
irresponsible waste handling.
Exporting of
CRTs (cathode ray tubes) found in computer monitors and television sets
to third world countries by various brokers/exporters is a huge
environmental problem. Once exported, the valuable copper yoke is
extracted and the hazardous lead component of the broken glass becomes
a toxic problem for third world countries.
Unfortunately,
the disparity between the developed and undeveloped world has made it
more cost effective to ship CRT-containing products to the third world
where electric components are removed and cathode ray tubes including
hazardous materials such as lead are dumped in the environment. CRTs
contain toxic screen phosphors and, on average, more than 6 lbs. of
lead.
Let Scott Recycling keep your
electronic waste out of the landfills by having us handle your monitor
recycling and monitor disposal needs.
